Nutrilite tour with FSN 606 - Thursday, September 29th from 12:41 - 4:00 pm

At Nutrilite - 5600 Beach Boulevard, Buena Park, 90621
Professor Debra Topham and her FSN 606 class will be going on a tour of Nutrilite and have opened up the invitation to all FSN students! If you would like to attend, please contact Professor Topham at topham@chapman.edu  by Tuesday, Sept. 27 at Noon. Spots are limited, so please be sure you are able to make it before signing up. 

All attendees must also fill out the Chapman Activity eWaiver form:

Alumni Leadership Panel Event - Friday, September 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in AF 201

Join Food Science students, alumni, and industry partners in a panel discussion on leadership, where we'll explore important topics such as personal leadership development, overcoming obstacles on your leadership journey, and what it means to be a leader at different stages of your career. This is your chance to network with alumni and participate in a Q & A session. Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.

Tour Frutarom's facility in Corona with Chapman's Food Flavor professor, Jay Harris! Spots will be limited. Must RSVP with Tara at okuma101@mail.chapman.edu to attend. 
Arrive by 1:45 pm (tour starts promptly at 2:00 pm). Expect a 2 hour tour. Dress for manufacturing/production setting (closed-toe shoes, no jewelry, covered legs and shoulders, etc.). Notebooks and pens are okay, but avoid taking book bags on the tour.

2nd Annual IFTSA Global Summit - Wednesday, November 9 from 10am - 12pm (PST)
Room location: Agyros Forum 205 -- we will be setting up a room to join in and providing light breakfast snacks!
Join in on discussion about the future of food. Attend the keynote presentation by Mark Lynas and participate in interactive breakout sessions (food fraud, alternative proteins, communicating food science). The IFTSA Global Summit is FREE for all students interested in the science of food. IFTSA Membership is not required. MBA/FSNSA Winter Formal - Saturday, December 3rd

Join us for a MBA/FSNSA joint event to celebrate the holidays and near end of the semester! Tickets will be $40 per person for FSNSA students (1 guest allowed) and will go on sale starting November 14th. Stay tuned for ticket purchasing link. Event includes food, dessert, a drink, photo booth, night of dancing, and more! Holiday or cocktail attire required. You don't want to miss out on an event to remember!

FSN Annual Holiday Party Potluck - Sunday, December 4th
4:00p - 7:00p at the home of Dr. Prakash
Every year, Dr. Prakash has been overwhelmingly gracious to welcome and open up her home to FSN students, faculty, and staff. Please join us for a festive gathering of food, conversations, and good company outside of campus. Potluck sign up sheet and event info are to come. Stay tuned!
