Sophia Pollack
President
I am thrilled to
be the President of Chapman’s Food Science Association this year! Originally
from Los Angeles, CA, I received my BS in Biology from Loyola Marymount
University in 2011 and then moved to Paris, France where I studied at Ecole
Superior de Cuisine Français-Ferrandi, presently considered one of France’s two
preeminent culinary schools. After
culinary school, I worked in professional kitchens across Paris until returning
to sunny California to get my M.S. in Food Science as well as my MBA here at
Chapman University. In my free time I
enjoy cooking, baking, swimming and ballroom dancing. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and
seeing you all at our events and I urge you to get involved in any way
possible!

Vice President
Adam Perestam
Treasurer
I enjoy my position as treasurer as it enables me to better
connect with peers and industry professionals. In my free time, I enjoy playing
soccer and other outdoor activities. I went to UC Santa Cruz for my
undergraduate career, where I initially became interested in the food industry.
As a Southern California native, I am eager to see where the food industry will
take me. Upon completing his education at Chapman I hope to become an
established figure within the food industry.
